Acupuncture Continuing Education Instructors

Ethan Borg, L.Ac., is a graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture. Recipient of Miki Shima's Life-Long Learning Fellowship, Mr. Borg authored The Secret Chamber, Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Neijing and The Indispensable Book of Secrets.

Virginia Doran, L.Ac., M.Ac., LMT has 27 years of clinical professional experience in the healing arts. She graduated from the Massage Therapy Program at the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences in 1978, where she has since taught postgraduate courses. Ms. Doran is an NCCAOM diplomat in acupuncture and Chinese herbology and is a graduate of Tri-State College of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture. Ms. Doran has been featured in and been a consultant to many magazines and television stations about acupuncture for facial rejuvenation and dermatological conditions. She is currently writing two books on facial rejuvenation acupuncture, for practitioners and for the public. Sat Chuen Hon, M.F.A. trained in Qigong, Taiji Quan and Classical Chinese Medicine, is a native of Guanzhou, China. He received his BA from Princeton University and a Master of Fine Arts from Connecticut College. He is the founder of the New York Dan Tao Center and author of Taoist Qigong for Health and Vitality. He established and serves as the president of ATPS, Inc., a non-profit educational corporation dedicated to the preserving and teaching of ancient Taoist practices.

Jeff Nagel, M.A., L.Ac. began his training in the 8 Branches of Taoist Healing, Internal Martial Arts and Chi Kun in 1969. He is an experienced practitioner and well-seasoned, generous teacher of acupuncture and herbs, Oriental medicine, Chi Kung and Feng Shui. Nagel continues to teach Chi Kung Energy Transmission Healing, the Tao Healing Arts and Taoist I-Ching Medicine in continuing education programs around the U.S. He has studied extensively with various masters and doctors including Taoist Grandmaster Share K. Lew, of the Yellow Dragon Monastery, China.

Jeffrey Yuen, B.S, Dipl. C.H. is a Daoist priest of two traditions, the Jade Purity and Complete Reality schools. Mr. Yuen is the dean for academic affairs of the Acupuncture Program at the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences and President of the International Tai Chi Institute, both in New York City.

Helen Qi Zhang, L.Ac., Ph.D. (China) studied at the National Academy of Traditional Medicine, in Beijing, China where she earned her doctorate in Oriental medicine and acupuncture. Dr. Zhang is a Faculty member at the Swedish Institute and in private practice.
