2002 Spring Issue

Page 1: Swept Into Action
This first issue of the school newsletter is unique, in that it is devoted entirely to the post September 11 relief effort provided by massage therapists and acupuncturists immediately following the attack on the World Trade Center.  Within hours after the attack, massage therapists and acupuncturists had gone to Ground Zero in an unprecedented effort to bring healing energy to the rescue, and later recovery, effort.  Thousands of volunteers were mobilized by a command center at the school which sent out people 24/7 for many weeks afterwards.  This issue tries to capture some of the personal experiences of those volunteers.
